Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and highly organized Human Resources Generalist to support our growing team. This role will be primarily administrative and heavily focused on recruiting and onboarding new employees, but also plays a vital role in benefits coordination, HRIS management, and employee relations. The ideal candidate is passionate about people, process-driven, and ready to support day-to-day HR functions that keep our teams running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding:
  • Draft and post job descriptions across multiple platforms.
  • Coordinate and conduct phone screenings and in-person interviews.
  • Manage background checks, offer letters, and onboarding paperwork.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding process.
Administrative & HRIS Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Enter and update information in the HRIS system (Paycor).
  • Prepare documentation for employee status changes, terminations, and benefits enrollment.
Benefits Administration:
  • Act as the primary contact for our benefits brokers.
  • Coordinate open enrollment, process benefit changes, and assist employees with questions.
  • Ensure compliance with ACA reporting and other benefits-related regulations.
Employee Relations & Compliance:
  • Provide support in handling employee concerns and conducting workplace investigations.
  • Partner with leadership on performance discussions, documentation, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable state (Kansas/Missouri) and federal employment laws including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and EEOC.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems; experience with Paycor a plus.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Preferred:
  • Experience in a multi-site or field-based workforce is a plus.
