JOB TITLE: Residential Sales Representative

REPORTS TO: Sales Manager
 
SUMMARY: The Residential Sales Representative is responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining positive business and customer relationships while meeting monthly sales goals. They will train to understand the full use and benefits of Culligan products and services. A Residential Sales Representative must have a proficient understanding of residential Culligan products and will be responsible for assisting residential leads/ potential customers with a team of other Residential Sales Representatives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Promote a long-term relationship-building approach to Sales to improve customer satisfaction and retention with residential customers
  • Develop and improve standard/best practices in the sales toolbox: presentation formatting, financial documentation, lead generation methods, cost modelling
  • Correspond with all leads and appointments as scheduled
  • Attend scheduled appointments assigned with professionalism and integrity
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in relevant database
  • Learn, maintain and apply overall knowledge and technical information as it relates to the sales of all residential Culligan products
  • Understand customers’ needs and present viable solutions. Accurately represent capabilities, terms procedures without distorting dealership policy
  • Make an effective sales presentation so that the customer is adequately educated about the products and services available
  • Clearly and completely document installation arrangements, pumps and other related equipment, check electrical/drain

  • Take ownership of a new customer’s account, and follow up with every new customer to ensure complete satisfaction and secure referrals
  • Maintain security of all customer information
  • Participate in all promotional activities (trade shows, exhibits, etc.) as required
  • Obtain minimum sales standards (see attached breakdown)
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  •  This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Computer skills required: Contract Management Systems (EX: DocuSign, etc.); Human Resource Systems; Microsoft Office Suite; Project Management Software (EX: Monday.com)
  • Certificates, licenses and registrations required: Valid driver’s license, Sales license, State licenses as required 
  • Other skills required: 
    • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven record of accomplishment in sales.
    • Expert in effective communication
    • Able to adapt to individual customer needs
