Position Summary

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing the company’s incoming payments, ensuring accuracy of billing, and proper recording of receivables. This role plays a key part in maintaining healthy cash flow, and supporting accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Apply customer payments (checks, ACH, wire, credit cards) to the accounting system
Reconcile accounts receivable sub-ledger to general ledger
Resolve billing discrepancies and customer payment issues
Maintain customer account records and ensure data accuracy
Support month-end closing activities related to AR
Assist with audits by providing documentation and explanations
Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Required Qualifications

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or similar accounting role
Strong understanding of accounting principles and AR processes
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Service Titan)
Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables preferred)
Excellent communication and customer service skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time-management skills

Compensation: $21.00 per hour
