Cranbrook Water Conditioning Ltd. is seeking a dependable and hardworking Culligan Ice Production Technician to join our team for the summer season. This is a full-time, temporary position running from mid-May through Labour Day.
We proudly serve the East Kootenay region and carry trusted brands including Culligan Water, Beachcomber Hot Tubs, and Flaman Fitness. Our team is committed to providing high-quality products and exceptional customer service to our community.
Position Overview
The Culligan Ice Production Technician is responsible for the production, packaging, and handling of bagged ice. This role ensures that all products meet company quality and sanitation standards while supporting warehouse and distribution operations during the busy summer season.
This is an excellent opportunity for students or individuals seeking seasonal employment in a fast-paced and hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor ice production equipment
- Bag, seal, and palletize ice for distribution
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of production equipment and work areas
- Ensure compliance with food safety and company quality standards
- Monitor production levels and report any equipment issues
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries as required
- Maintain accurate production and inventory records
- Support warehouse and yard operations as needed
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in production, manufacturing, or general labour is an asset but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically active environment
- Mechanical aptitude is considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license is an asset, but not required
Position Details
- Employment Type: Seasonal (Mid-May to Labour Day)
- Schedule: Full-time; hours may vary based on production demands
- Location: Cranbrook, BC
- Overtime: May be required during peak summer periods
- This position is designated as safety-sensitive. Successful candidates may be required to complete a criminal record check and drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
