Hall’s Culligan of Sylmar is searching for a talented and dynamic Residential Sales Manager to lead a team of sales professionals representing the most trusted brand in the water quality improvement industry, Culligan Water.  Working in close collaboration with the General Manager and other dealership team members, the Sales Manager is accountable for achieving budgeted revenue targets and other key performance metrics.

The Sales Manager is further responsible for coaching, retaining, and growing a staff of full time high- performance salespeople sufficient to cover the household markets we serve in Sylmar and surrounding areas. As an important part of the California region of Hall's Culligan, the Sales Manager is supported by a peer group of fellow Sales Managers and by a dedicated Regional leadership team.

The total compensation for this position is $85,000-$120,000 annually, depending on experience and team performance.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the General Manager in establishing and recommending the most realistic sales goals for the company.
  • Collaborates with General Manager to accurately forecast the annual sales revenue budget.
  • Manages the companies’ sales activities to maximize sales revenue and meet corporate objectives.
  • Establishes and manages effective programs to compensate, coach, appraise and train sales personnel.
  • Hiring, retention and training of assigned sales team.
  • Oversee lead activities and goals for all assigned sales team personnel.
  • Responsible for the management and development of sales personnel, and sales support staff.
  • Reviews progress of sales personnel throughout the assigned dealerships.
  • Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company’s product lines.
  • Provides monthly and quarterly results assessments of sales staff’s productivity.
  • Attaining yearly budget goals for assigned sales team and departments.
  • Coordinates proper company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales results.
  • Assists sales personnel in establishing personal contact and rapport with decision-makers.
  • Educates sales team by establishing programs/seminars in the areas of new account sales and growth; sales of emerging products and multi-product sales, profitability, improved presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of sales support.
  • Keep up with daily management of the sales team and their activities, scheduling regular weekly ride-alongs.
  • Collaborates with General Manager to establish and control budgets for sales promotion and trade show expenses.
  • Maintenance on all location vehicles – includes keeping regular oil changes and regularly scheduled maintenance
  • Holds regular meetings with sales staff
Qualifications

  • 5+ years  of related experience or training in outside sales, or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience
  • 3+ years of personnel management/supervisory experience in a related field
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers, subordinates, all levels of business professionals, and the general public
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and trend information
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead sales teams
  • Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, plus a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and clear focus on high quality customer service and business profit
  • Mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with employees and customers
  • Well organized, reliable, and determined with good communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to get along well with others and foster a positive team atmosphere and culture.
  • Ability to recognize, prioritize and accomplish daily, weekly and monthly goals.
  • Proven ability to motivate staff to accomplish aforementioned goals.
  • Effective communication with subordinates as well as the company management staff considered a must.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and successfully pass, and maintain, an acceptable driving record check to be insurable by the Company in order to operate a company vehicle
  • Must be able to drive a minimum of 6 hours per day
